  Hi, Elizabeth! Didn't see your suggestion we carpool until this morning. Wish I'd had a chance to check e-mail yesterday so I could have seen that. Carpooling would have been a good idea, though we did leave earlier than anyone else. I'm still recovering from surgery and get tired easily!

Ken and I adored your cookies and especially the linzer ones and the cranberry/white chocolate too. If you could send me the recipes that would be awesome.. I don't bake as much as I cook and would like to try new recipes that were AWESOME>..

  Wow, Chicago to Portland is a big jump. Did work bring you here? I've done significant jumps as well CA to NC to NJ to PA to WA to OR. Is this your first big move? Also, I'd love to get the number of your PGE guy, I usually get the guys who can't figure out the problem and track mud all over the place ha.

  Yes you're right, Portland is uber-friendly...especially so if you happen to move here from south side Chicago like me;) No mayhem, no muggings, no drive bys...its so refreshing! Hope you havent had too much trouble finding your way around the labyrinth that is Portland. If you need to borrow the keys to the city sometime, lemme know. Sam Adams and I are totally bff;)
