Hey Gerrit! Looking forward to riding with you during CHEW series!
"I'm now getting a little apprehensive about joining the CHEW series as I haven't been riding much this winter. I love hills, challenges, all of it but I'm going to pay dearly for not having any gears I can assure you. One way to find out I reckon..." Oh man, I do not envy you, but it sounds like you are an animal so you'll probably do fine. We prerode one of the routes today and I was very happy to all of my climbing gears. :) See you in January!
Doing CHEW on a single-speed? Oh this I have got to see. :) I, on the other hand have a big ole 11-32 in back and I use every one of those gears, haha. See you in January!
Good running with ya, Garrit! Hope the Five Fingers are treating you well!
Hi Gerrit - Thanks for the kind words, yes that was me. I was incentivized to beat that ugly cloud that was ahead of us. It was nice to meet you and the other riders. I hope to do more of the Tuesday rides in the future and will be sure to figure out an after ride place for us before next time.
Thanks for the welcome note Gerrit! It will ne great to meet some new folks tomorrow. I have never lead outside so I'm excited to finally get to see what all the fuss is about, ha:-) cheers!
I think dancers are in general in pretty darned good shape too, but then I'm prejudice lol I also think biking is an excellent cross-training activity for dancers. Hopefully I can find some to bike, I just joined a band, so we'll see.
Thanks for dropping by!
Looks fantastic!! I actually live in Lakewood, WA right now, do you know anyone carpooling in Redmond because my boy friend and I are sharing one car right now...
Well, all I need in order to schedule meetups are lead climbers interested in helping out. Know any? =D Our leads last year are variously newlywed, injured, or moved away, so I'm the default organizer- but also one without lead skills! Thanks on the pic- another member of this meetup actually took it. We were bouldering out at Goldbar. This was the one problem I could actually "solve"- I'm more of a sport climbing kind of gal.
There's a group headed to vantage today if you want to come. Eastgate P&R at 8am.
