A fellow WW. I think I've ridden with you before.
Thanks for the welcome message! Went on my first WW ride this last Sunday. Howard Shafer led us at a mellow pace to the Campbell farmers market. He had done his research, and had food and lunch spot all picked out! FYI - If I go on another WW ride, I'll then join the club officially and pay dues.
Thanks Anna, very helpful.
Thanks for the warm welcome, Anna....I look forward to riding with you soon! Have a great weekend...
Hi, Anna...love the cat!
I am just beginning to get back in shape...I used to ride a lot, but been swimming a lot more in the last couple of years.....there
fore hills are daunting at this point....so I should look for A/B rides? I have a hybrid bike.
Hi Anna, thanks. I have had a few bike mishaps, such as a broken derailer... and then instead of fixing it, discovered mountain biking... anyway, I plan on getting my road bike fixed and joining us guys again soon. I miss riding with WW!
Hi Anna! As a regular, you know your roads and rest points! Few people know gate 3 as a rest point, but it's a favorite for me, too. Sometimes on a cold or windy day I rest there a bit and then back head down. We've done the Taafe climb, but TuesPM we will warm up slowly and plan on ascending the easier Natoma. We have a few riders who could make it if they would just pace themselves and climbslowly ... but sometimes it's hard to let yourself go slowly. I do hope to see you on the ride! Cheers!
Hi Anna, it would be so nice to have you share your weekly exercise ride up Page Mill with us as a group this week! We do it infrequently, and your experience will help inspire anyone in fear of the long hard climb, but also as an example. If they see you in person and hear you do it weekly or so, they may find it easier to believe that they can make it too! This is actually one of the most demanding ride plans our group has done, and we are not all fearless about it. It can seem intimidating!
