“ Ok, I attempted to write this in Russian, but something did not want to let me. I wanted to say that I am excited that there is a Russian Group. I would love to help you if you need it. I learned Russian at Middlebury College and already speak German. I would hate to forget the small amount of Russian I already know. Let me know! ”
“ Katya,
Abyssinia is my favorite restaurant, so I couldn't pass this up. I'll try to do some more Meetups. Hope to see you soon! ”
“ Katya,
I apologize for not making the meeting in November. I planned to attend but then got a last minute out-of-town assignment. I probably will not attend this Sunday in Chapel Hill. I live in South Raleigh so it is a good "hike" for me and a German friend of mine is having a party at her house this Sunday evening. I would love to meet you sometime so if you want to have coffee sometime in December let me know. Kerry ”

“ Thanks for the kind welcome, Katya. Regarding the "desolate" comment - just a friendly poke at the area's cuisine situation. You're right: most places are veg-friendly and there are definitely many vegs around. I just mean there are no proper veg restaurants, where Western NC has them in abundance - e.g., I love the Laughing Seed in A'ville. I know there are a few veg Indian, and Sage in CH, but nothing special. I'm a snob! I'm definitely very excited to have found this group though! Thanks! ”
