“ I was new and was dissapointed. I had hoped to try French wines and meet new people that like wines, discuss them, and wine taste. I arrived late around 7:30. The house was lovely, and I dropped of my contribution hors d'vors..(sp?), was offered a California "french oak" wine that was " hearty" but alas..noone to discuss it with, and the wine was not really French. It was not from France nor made in the French style. Maybe all of the French wine was gone. I could have brought a L'Aventure from Paso Robles...Also..I was having trouble "breaking into the social "cliques" that seem to be established...maybe I missed the real party in the outside movie in the back...I was intimidated by the time I made it through the saber corking and decided to try another event another time. PS the attire appeared a little above jean casual ”
