Dear Perl, I, too, feel deeply blessed to have met you at the drum-making workshop this past weekend. Our connection ignited the Soul-Friend Spirit for me. The quietly abiding depth of your Spirit blessed our space with a teaching of solitude, imagination, wisdom and creativity. Men are often the way they are due to their mothers who actually in most cases are the dominant influence on them growing up. Women often feel about men as a reflection of how they feel about their fathers.
My father was the dominant influence growing up in my life. I did not realize that until he was gone. I am independent due to that and not as fearful of how my masculinity is expressed. -
