Organizer“ This is a very interesting meetup group because it brings so many perspectives, being a blend of Chinese, American and other cultures. There are more women than men but very balanced. Our monk Bhane is from Sri Lanka and brings a certain third world element --one of greater clarity and vision, not being encumbered by the values of our consumerist society. He is not so spoiled but does stress discipline and responsibility, such as coming to meditation class on time. I think everyone now sees his or her self as a "supernatural human being," as the Buddha described himself, that is as arising above the ordinary mud of common passions and desires. ”

Anyone who is interested in trying authentic Chinese food or learning Chinese language is welcome to be my friends. As I just moved into West Park Village in West Chase a week ago, my dinette set won't arrive till four weeks later. If you don't mind eating by the counter you are welcome to join me for my homemade Chinese dinner - I passed the entry level Chinese Chef Exam. :) ”
