“ Had my camera, but didn't take any pics (due to the landscape being familiar to me). I would be very interested in doing a long-distance ride south, and it is very doable in the winter. Lots of U.S. highways going north-south to explore, and lots of interesting and fun places to stay overnight for a weekend run. We should discuss this in person in the near future so that if another great weekend pops up, we are ready to take advantage of it. ”

“ Mike, hope the meetup ride went well today. Just got back tonight-my ride was beautiful (except that it was very cold in the mountains Saturday morning-could not keep hands warm). Ran across some incredible back roads. Will let you know the next time I do this trip or one like it-might be a good way to introduce the group to longer road trips. Finally, riding season never ends (for me anyway)...if it is above 40 degrees, I'm riding!!! ”

“ Hi Mike, I did get to ride in the cold-cold once. It was the first 30 something degree day for the winter of '08. Last day to have my bike inspected and registered in MD. Brrrrr! I am planning to ride through the winter. Don't know how well I'll do, but it's a plan. ”
