  •  Hi Karen,

Thank you for the greeting. It helps to get things going. My favorite Thrift Store mnnn. It all depends what city I'm in. Here in Lake Forest, my favorites are "Keepers" and "The Goodwill" on El Toro & Rockfield. Saint Vincent De Pauls can be interesting, very "vintage" too.

  •  Hi karen,

Thank you for the greeting. I do like the Fish Market in Riverside. That's a pretty good casual place with good food. There's a movie theatre across the street, we can do a dinner and a movie night.

  •  Hi Karen, Thanks for the greeting. Southland Blues Magazine is a great source for finding blues in the area. http://www.southlandblues.com/guide.h.... Also, aside from blues, you may want to get on the mailing list of a great Tiki Bar called the Purple Orchid in El Segundo. They get some cool Rockabilly and Surf bands. It is also The place to hang out after the vintage car shows during the summer. Send an email to [masked].

  •  The coolest thing in uptown Whittier I have experienced lately is the occasional breeze. Ah, all kidding aside, Whittier ain't no cultural Shangri-La, but East Whittier/La Mirada has Savers thrift store, which can at times be awesome.
