Hi Murray,
Welcome to the Vancouver Empowerment group. look forward to meeting you in person.
Hey Murray, I'm glad you are enjoying AM3 -- it's a good community. Have you signed up for VFXY, Photoblogs.org and Cool Photoblogs yet? You can, now that you are part of that community. Yup, if often wander the streets and shoot -- that's probably obvious from my photos though. A street photography course sounds cool, a good friend of mine took one the year before and he really benefited from it -- his photos are really great and in the spirit of street photography.
As far as the "portfolio" portion goes, you can designate the photos you wish to show up in your portfolio section, but they will only show up, as they roll over (ie: one per day). If you want a site that you can post multiple photos try flickr, jpeg mag and sites such as that. I think there are still some limitations though, for non-paid accounts. Check it out. A street photo course at Focal Point must be great! I'll have to check into that. Cheers!
Hey Murray...You will enjoy AM3. I don't have a paid account, and as far as I understand, for blogging, it's one photo a day. What I like about this site is, you can upload in advance, way in advance, so it's very convenient that way, things can just roll along with very little effort on your part. I never upload anything bigger than 900px (on large side) and 72dpi, unless of course one is submitting to a site for publication purposes...
Hey Murray, thanks for the kind words :)
I don't really have a website myself (yet), and don't know much about Wix, but I do use the service at http://aminus3.com![]()
for photoblogging. It's a great community and opens up the door to other services such as VFXY, Photoblogs.org etc. I've got a list of other services at http://bluechameleon.aminus3.com![]()
so feel free to check those out.
Welcome Murray!
