Glad to hear you are healing. If you can make it to Tyler it is always a fun place for an outing. Wish I could come but we made other plans for the week.
When you get to the park for check in, ask for the Texins Outdoor Club sites. The reservations are in the name of Brian Jones. They should be able to tell you which sites we are in. I am trying to get the banner to Don Taylor so he can display it for easy locating the group. I have to be in Big Spring that weekend so Don Taylor will be leading the trip.
The park address is on the page for the eve t.
Actual campsite numbers are not assigned until people check in. Reservations guarantee a spot, just not a specific spot.
Check out is usually 2 pm by park regulations.
Cost for the entertainment depends on what the group decides to do, so places being cheaper than others.
Getting there all depends on when people get off work and make it down there, so that is very open.
Hope this helps,
since this is a state park trip, the equipment you need is minimal. tent, sleeping bag, matress, food, and a lawn chair, i understand and support your reluctance to camp with a "strange group". you might consider bringing along a friend or large dog! We are a pretty mellow bunch most of the tim - as long as we are not hungry. Hope this helps. Brian
