  •  Sylvia,
Thanks for the shout...what usually goes on at the Sunday School? What do you all go over?

  •  Sylvia,
Sorry, I forgot about that Yale post. They have quite a few free video courses on such subjects as physics, astronomy, English, political science, psychology, and the course I mentioned under the heading of religious studies, The Hebrew Bible.
The full list is at http://open.yale.edu/courses/ Click on Religious studies and follow the links. Video quality is excellent on my DSL line. There is course material to download too. I have seen about 7 of the lectures-excellent.

  •  Yes, thank you for contributing to the Oregonian. I've been keeping my eye out for a loooong time to find a group such as this and I've finally found you!

I also have an 11-yr-old son in the 6th grade. His favorite subject is science, his knowledge of mythology is intense, and he can't read enough books. He's not an athlete. He has really sweet friends but I would also love for him to be able to do the kind of get-togethers with other tweens that I got to do as a church-going teenager.

  •  Excellent interview in the Oregonian. Your thoughtful kindness and reason were clear. Thank you.
