  hey Rick just read abt ur swim trip to Nelson's Landing...it's a great spot (yup trash/diapers/loud music and last Sat even gun fire) but I don't like to go on weekends. Usually it's me and my sweet dog and sometimes a friend if I can find someone to go. Do you ever get up there on WEEKDAYS? I have a 4x4 so I can go to the other beaches. It's one of my favorite spots on Earth so I go often all year round and will go at the drop of a hat.

  I wish I could make one of your last hikes but I will be up north and then over to Ely to do Wheeler Peak over the weekend. I have enjoyed every hike i have done with you and hope you return and go back to being an organizer if you return. Best wishes. Rick Hansen
