  • Meri I have a favor to ask. We did the Oswego today and we left 1 car at the Vincentown Diner. They had it towed it cost the guy 137.00 to get his car back now I know we should have said something to them about it but we didn't. So yes it our faul but what I'm asking is for you guys not to use the Diner as a meet spot and Breakfast. I guess Boycot them for me/us I am also with the OCSJ and the Sierra club and I'm going to ask them also. Thanks and with your ok I wil also post it on the FB site.

  • Hi Meri... I did mean the manitou. I tried a 13' and liked it Al or Sam told me to try the Cayuga next time. Their leasing program is awesome. I know that by the time I get the kayak paid off I'll have one that is a perfect fit for me. I also took your advice and went with a better quality paddle. That really helped a lot too. I'm a little afraid of maneuverability if I go over 13'. Does it get a lot harder to maneuver longer kayaks? Karen

  • Hi Meri, I spoke with Cheryl and she is trying to find a more suitable kayak for me. She mentioned a mantua. What do you think? It is just about 13' long but lighter than the vapor. I asked her about the Cayuga She said something about not having one in stock If I have a faster kayak do you think I can handle this trip? I actually did learn to do the wide shallow paddle on Sunday. I learned quickly... I was in the marsh and full of spiders & I was scared of flipping them into the kayak.
