I run a website from my home, fireflicker.com and am in school learning more everyday about Web apps and the like. I also have access to a conference space that could be used for meetups.This member isn't in any groups yet.

I didn't have the time to organize and promote it, I tried to get someone else to step up but no one did. If you don't actively promote it then you'll get very low turn out (less than 8). Actively promoting it means putting flyers up, contacting teachers at spscc and evergreen, emailing local companies and independent people. We had about 40+ people on the old meetup, it's stupid they didn't automatically subscribe all those people to your new group. You should try to email all those people.
