  •  Ingrid- Thank You so much for sharing last night! You did an excellent job leading the discussion & being nice & offering your home for the meeting! I hope your journey to New York is safe & that you just rock that city wild when you get there- say hi to sex positive feminist Jayme Waxman over @ Babes in Toyland for me (she rocks!). Peace & Goddess' blessings!

  •  Sorry, can't make it to the museum Saturday. I'll be celebrating Mother's Day instead

  •  Ingrid- thanks for clarifying. I definitely have my own perspectives. And if I came across as a smart ass, well I sort of was. All apologies due since you were NOT thinking along stereotypes. And I wish I was doing something FUN on Saturday instead of what I am going to be doing. But hey, I gotta do what I gotta do.

  •  I wanted to go, I was already making plans and all, forgetting that
Saturday is Dia de las Madres. Have fun for us. :)

  •  Ingrid- my perspective on reproductive freedom won't be much different from the rest of the group's. Why should it? Because I'm a guy? (a smirk on my face here). I don't know how to address the rest of the group, but in the new Nation (5/19/08) there's an article by Betsy Reed entitled "Race To The Bottom: How Hillary Clinton's Campaign Has Divided the Feminist Movement." I haven't read it yet. The Nation is VERY left of center. I can photocopy the article if you want. See ya!

  •  Yep, definitely coming - see you there!

  •  It sounds great, but I can't do it. My problem with the meetings on most of these meetup groups is that I'm a single parent and can only schedule "me" time when my son is away with his dad every-other. This weekend he'll be with me, but even on the "me" weekends there are only so many hours in which to do things.. Hopefully this summer during the long summer break while he's with his dad, I can attend some feminist meetups.

  •  Hi Ingrid- unfortunately I will not be able to make it. I'm sure it will be fun though. see ya at the next meeting.

  •  Hi Ingrid, hmmm, writing as a tool ... we've been doing it since we became conscient beings. but you already know that :-) We do because the expression informs 'self', and that's one of the ways I use it too. It's me telling me about me - in as many varied and creative ways as I can think up. Like your painting. So, my reading list? I'm most passionate about spiritual equality - the feminine face of God. I look forward to our conversations - thanks for coming to the meetup.
