Hi Pam! Sorry didn't run with the gang, got familiar with Pig Farm Hill tho! We made it back o.k. Will catch up with you next time.
Pam...here are an excerpts from a website on dealing with a mountain lion:
"Stay calm and speak loudly and firmly. Do not run away. Face the animal and make eye contact. Try to appear larger than you are by standing tall and raising your arms. Throw stones, branches or whatever you can reach without crouching or turning your back. Give the lion a way to escape. Fight back if attacked using rocks, sticks or anything that might force the animal's retreat."
Other websites basically say the same.
OMG! Is this photo the new FTR club photo? That's too funny! We are a motley crew!
Hi Pam! Thanks for your interest in the Cycling Sisters. We have been riding as a group for about a year now & are currently transitioning over from the group HubBettys to The Cycling sisters. I apoligize that I havent finished the site yet but plan to do it in the next couple of days. If you like, end me over your email address & I can email our updoming rides. Looking forward to riding with you! Kell Weichler
Okay Pam. That sounds great. I think I can find the spot you have described. I will plan to be there at 7:15. Don't worry about the Starbucks--I am happy to do this. You have helped so many people out. Should I let Kem know?? Let me know that you got this message. I want to know if I correctly sent it.
I am so glad that it's not broken--I was so sure it sounded broken by your level of pain. Thank God!!! Can you imagine the bummer that would have been? Well I look forward to Thursday--hopef
ully none of us will fall!!
Hi Pam, I'm Heather and I'm thinking about signing up for the Sunday 20-miler. I have never gone 20 before (15 is my farthest!) but a run with 3 aid stations sounded like maybe a good one to make my first ... Are any of you planning to go really slow? Do you meet somewhere so I could hook up with someone my pace? I haven't been able to recruit any of my regular running people! Thanks.
Hi Pam
Have a great time at AR 50. I'll keep updated on the schedule.
Pam
Thanks for the great day. I feel very encouraged and supported, and very excited to get in shape and run longer distances in the next year. Let me know when you'd like to meet for Training Hill Loop.
