Hi Alex! Welcome to Queens Book Club! I look forward to meeting you :).
Hi Alex! Welcome to the group! We're neighbors. I'm in Bushwick. Love your idea of a last meal. Look forward to meeting you at a future event! =)
Welcome! Nice to have another experienced runner aboard! Although running won't be our primary emphasis, perhaps we will have a good enough amount of serious runners to push each other. Congrats on the NYC marathon! Great achievement! This past year's NYC marathon was my first as well. I just did the Boston Marathon two weekends ago. I think I'm done with marathons till 2012 NYC..
Anyway, I look forward to meeting you!
Alex- I'm not quite half way done yet with Them, but I do plan on reading as far as I could get. As I don't work next week, I will have more time to dedicate to reading it. For some reason or other, I did not sign up for Thursday. Will I be able to join you guys at the Houndstooth pub on Thursday? Or is there another group session that will be held? PLease let me know, as I'd like to join you -HOPEFULLY having completed the book!
Look forward to hearing from you,
Thanks for your prompt reply! I did notice that sometimes the number trickles down for the book groups, as it does in most Meetup groups. :-) Thanks for making the changes! Have a nice day!
No waiting list for What is the What 11/30 Meetup? Will there be an alt date for this one? Please let me know when you have a chance. Thanks!
I'm glad to hear that the book club went well last night at The Tea Spot!! Seems to be you were/are very prepared for leading the discussion. I'm well into the book....certainly very interesting, invoking memories of x, y, z at different point in my life. Looking forward to it on Sept. 30th! What about a discussion on a Gladwell book, i.e What the Dog Saw & other adventures, Outliers, The Tipping Point..?
