Hello. I am going to be traveling/volunteering in Spain next summer and so I wish to learn the basics of the language. I speak Italian and French so I am hoping this goes well. However, no matter what one learns from a book, it can not replace face-to-face interaction and learning. Are you aware of a non-university/college basic class I can take. I am not interested in learning just "tourist" Spanish as I will also be working there for three weeks. Thanks, Doris - a new member
Welcome, Sharla. What a lovely cold day today to prepare the ground for a great summer of growing. Starting a garden is like growing a friend. I talk to all my veggies but I'm old and have reached the age that its ok if people think I am crazy! Lol. I am glad you ave joined our group. I will post noticed about our first two meet ups later today.
Hi Sharla! I got your email about organizing a meeting to discuss medical Spanish? I would love to be part of this as I am in bilingual speech language pathology and really need to brush up on my medical terms. Please let me know if you set anything up or if I can help with anything!
Welcome Sharla, thank you for joining. I look forward to meeting you! With the weather turning colder for the next week, I am not going to schedule any outdoor activities. However, soon I will be posting an outdoor walk/hike.
I didn't think we should cancel immediately, only after waiting to see if I got any responses from my posting. A lot of people only sign up on Friday or even Saturday morning and my daughter and Sam never sign up anymore even though they come. Tony didn't sign up last week and Neil often comes without signing up. I was hoping to get feedback first.

Sharla, Hi, by mistake I rsvp for July 9 and I can't figure out how to undue it!! Can you remove it for me?? Thanks, Lisa
To get to the Giant Eagle, take Morse Road to I-71, then south on I-71 to North Broadway. Go west on N. Broadway to the dead end at Kinney Road. Go south on Kinney to Fishinger, then right on Fishinger to Tremont. Go left on Tremont to the light at the Walgreen's, where you turn left to get into the shopping complex. The Giant Eagle is one street further to the south. The parking areas are huge. Enter the Giant Eagle where it says Cafe and go upstairs to where we meet.
Thanks, Sharla!! Can't wait to meet you and attend an event!! :-))
