Bio

Looking to meet friendly, interesting people who are interested in the same things that I am. This includes flying, travel, asian culture, adventure and more. I am a FAA licensed pilot and aircraft mechanic so I definitely have a love of aviation.

  • Hi David, welcome to the group! Western Museum of Flight has two very interesting events on their calender. Have you ever been there to any of the celebrity lectures, can you recommend it?

  • Hi David,
I live in Torrance too and want to be a lot more adventurous this year. I used to fly with a friend down to Mexico and Catalina. That was fun.
Maybe we can meet and talk.

  • Hey David, I haven't done any flying for at least half of a year... The last one I had done was back in September 2009. How about you? Also, I don't usually check greetings on Meetup. I am very sorry about my extremely late reply!!

  • Hey David, the RV didn't get much attention last month, I've been really busy. Hopefully I'll get some good work in soon. Once I get a little further on the wings, I'll let you know and you can drop by. Check in sometime so I don't forget.

  • I understand; especially with antique planes, they're often down for mechanical issues, like Frank's 'Coupe that you asked about. I usually get mine up and flying at least every 2 weeks, to be sure it gets a workout. You probably don't see it because sometimes it's weekdays. Good luck with your idea to fly for others --

  • Hi David,
You make a good point. Usually the dealers have a flying day for free and they fly with you for about 30 minutes and back. Lot's of people hang out their to watch and no necessarly to buy. It is a show they put out since they have a target buyer they want to show they are busy. It is a marketing tool and they allow people to fly for free.
