  • “ Hi, Vickie. That's a great reason for being vegetarian. I'm one generation off the farm (a southerner in my late fifties), and my father (who was definitely raised slaughtering animals) preferred a very heavily vegetable and bean based diet, probably from firsthand experience in how meat gets to the table.

    For my own part I ate meat into my forties, but then started moving steadily toward a plant based diet. About a year and a half ago I became a vegan. ”
