Bill, nice rig!!! Gotta rep for those KJ's out there!
Hi Bill- Would love to do South Padre! Just tell me when. I have the set up now for kayak camping. Just got back from 8 days on Buffalo River in Arkansa! Got a Tarpon 120 - lots of stow space. No need for anyone to paddle back for a tent for me. :). Let me know when the date is set - I'm in.
Aargh... now I can't make it this Saturday. This weekend isn't going to work for me now. How about the following weekend? the 21st or 22nd?
The life of a non-kayaking dog owner. Had to get dog sitting set up so I could go to the coast next weekend- just closed the deal. I'll be going and will RSVP in a few minutes. As for this weekend - no luck on the dog sitting, so he's coming with me. Me and George (non-kayaking dog) will hold down camp while you guys paddle.
Thanks for the cell number. I am in technical sales and completely understand the "getting the bid out" routine. Good luck with it. See you Friday, I'll keep my fingers crossed on your bid. Kelly
I'm not going this weekend because I have a sinus infection and have to teach swimming on Monday. I'd love to go in Sept/Oct/or Nov.
I was in that exact area 3 weeks ago, and there were a lot of tubers. I would go anyway if not for the aforementioned sinus infection.
Thanks for the feedback. Looking forward to a reschedule. I noticed someone else was interested in that also.
Hi Bill. Yes that was me. My friend and I might be able to go saturday. We will know for sure by thursday.
Bill just let me know when and where and I'll arrange a meetup. I'm down to help in any way I can and I know a lot of the members feel the same. Labor is a fair trade for hands on building experience. Shipping containers are a great building material and I think it would do a lot of good for members to see first hand just what can be done with them.
Hey, Bill, welcome to the group. I too have done a bit of research with using shipping containers, mostly as quick build housing (that's also very sturdy). I look forward to chatting with you.
