EX- Litigation Attorney. I practiced in San Francisco and moved to Brentwood this year. I also adopted a rescue dachshund who is driving me and my 6 year old dachshund a little crazy.

    Bringing a new dog home can sometimes upset the balance but hopefully your older dog is getting used to it and enjoying the companionship of the new dog. It is hard because we as people are not supposed to intervene when the dogs are hashing it out. We have to be fair with our attention and affection but give a little extra to the dominant one (which is the opposite of what we do instinctively). Please share your progress.
