  • Thanks for the welcome! Yes, Flatirons are a must...so many trails and never enough time! (just remember to drink crazy amount of water to decrease altitude headaches...especially if you decide to go for a 14ner!). Look forward to hiking with the group.

  • Patrick, I received your email regarding a need for more organizers and notice you are not leading a hike this weekend. I have begun what I hope is an unnecessary grieving process over the possibility of you no longer leading weekly hikes. Thanks for all the hikes you organized and lead and for welcoming hikers with less ability than you. Your time has been much appreciated.

  • Hi, thanks for the welcome. The Skyline Drive area you asked about is in the Shenandoah National Park. Most of the trails aren't too difficult, but there are a few challenging ones. There are some spectacular views! I've also hiked part of the Appalachian Trail in PA. It was very pretty but nothing very challenging.

  • Patrick, it seems there is a spot left for the las vegas trip. If I can arrange to be off work do you think I can physically make this hike? Thanks, Christy

  • But I'll let you know if I happen to know some real hiking parks that you are looking for =)

  • Hi Patrick...sadly i don't really know any hiking "parks" in China...Hiking in China is different from that in the States because it basically means going up and down tens of thousands of stone steps on the mountains...the Yellow Mountain in Anhui province and the Fragrance Mountain in Beijing for example, are two very famous hiking places that I've been to. Parks on the other hand, are basically those like Centennial parks where people walk their dogs, fly kites etc.
