figured I'd get my life story out of the way : )
Been taking apart old RC planes for servo controllers, learning about arduinos, stepper motors, teaching myself circuits but I'm hitting walls and I think now is the time to start meeting other makers. I'm big on learning my next big hill is what I call "automation and control systems" basically asking myself, "what can I automate". I've also got a network of guys on Odesk I go to when I need to solve a problem.
Graduated started working at Miami art museum downtown. Started meeting artists. Started learning print and color management, screen printing, lithography etc. got a small studio downtown, full woodshop- started making furniture, bought a makerbot, started learning rhino. Bought a cnc router (just blew out a linear bearing working on getting that fixed)....
I started of as a hammer and nail guy, I've always done handiwork, carpentry, welding, bodywork, tuning engines, lawnmowers and the like. Went to school, studied art history, got heavy into design, graphics, photography, motion started learning all the software. Adobe, PROTOOLS, logic, Started making movies with my buddies. Final cut, premiere, prop making, managing big projects (got really into foley and sound design)...
Ah so are you more if a quad rotor drone with signal jamming kind if guy
