I love parrots!! I have been a parrot owner for a little over a year and 1/2 now. I am owned by a female Green Cheek Conure named Marly, a female Sun Conure named Juno, a male Blue Crown Conure named Skye, and a male Cockatiel named Kuuky.

  •  OK, give me an idea of time, etc. Think I'll drive, I remember the route better that way. But after that, I'm open to carpooling.

If you come by a little early, I can introduce you to my wife, and our three birds. (inside birds, I mean) We've got about 50 outside birds including chickens, serama bantys, guineas, and peafowl and doves.

It's quite a little "zoo" down here. Might even catch a glimpse of the buffalo.....

  •  Hoping to make the upcoming meeting. Are you going? Perhaps I could follow you as I'm not sure where it is.

    What's a "zone manager"?

  •  Oh Tracey,
Thank You for putting the subject on about birds of prey. This is something I have tried to tell people in the past that I know that have parrots. We have an abundance of hawks and have HUGE owls in the evening.
It is so true that until you see one of these birds come down from no where and fly off with your beloved pet, that you just do not believe that it can happen.
We have small dogs and I don't even let them out alone and never when it is time for the owls to come out.

  •  Thanks Tra, look forward to meeting everyone. I live just down the road from you, by WalMart.

  •  Hi Tracey!

Thank you for your welcome message! Yes, I am excited that this finally worked - I had problems logging in to this forum, but Jamie helped me get in. So, here I am ... I will post a foto real soon.
I finally got my African Grey baby Coco home last week and now my hands are full with aclimating Coco, calming down my extremely jealous dogs and get a routine going. I hope to see you all at the next meeting!
