MENSPEAK Men's Group (London) Meetup

Regular meetings of men, sitting in a circle and sharing stories and situations towards learning from one another and moving forward.

We do slick rounds of questions, listen, get real, hang out and (respectfully) have a laugh... The funniest stories can provide the most valuable insights! You can either join in honestly, or say "Pass" when it's your turn.

This is the ideal place to gain feedback and keep life on track.

n.b. This is not a therapy group, not an encounter group, not a w*nk group; not a group for or against men or women, not a religious group, not a political group, not a group of anything apart from whatever the men present bring to it.

Up to 9 men per group, mainly 30s-40s though 18-80+ at times.

2nd Monday of the month - £20 (£15 concessions)

Don't worry, we are nothing like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=TBG0k5RhaPY

If you're lost / going to be late, please let me know, though the doors close at 7.10pm. Tel:[masked] Email: kenny(@)kennydcruz.com

Hey guys last night was great, so good to know other guys' thoughts in this area, and the 'brutal honesty' was very inspiring. in the office today, I'm the only male here, the subject is women's clothing during this hot weather, appropriate and inappropriate, I'm not part of the conversation but am over hearing it, wow. also experimented a couple of times by complimenting the ladies in the office on their look, as everyone's making a big effort today; mixed reactions, some bashfully defensive, others sweet about it, also tried my best to make appropriate eye contact with females on my travels to work, as if to validate/acknowlegde the beauty, one girl actually smiled back at me. This stuff's good, talk it out, and then go and live it.

Forgot to do a plug for my favourite podcast - if you like hearing people's stories (and you should!) - subscribe at http://risk-show.com/ where you will find some amazing true stories, some heartbreaking, some scary, some moving, some amusing but all of them true and told with heart ... (I have no connection, just a fan!)

Much as I resist being told what I 'should' do, you're right on this one, .... I'm hooked! Thanks Mark.

Straight in there getting deep into taboo themes and busting the 'dirty old' shadow into the light. No space for the usual rounds, with what a hot summer's day can bring up..!

As before, both confronting and reassuring. Confronting to be faced with all the stuff I make up and reassuring to know that other men do it too!
