Rev. Marla Sanderson will explain Science of Mind which teaches us that our thoughts create our world – and if we want to change some part of it, we must change the way we think. She will share the practice of Spiritual Mind Treatment, which is one way to do just that. This is a powerful technique!
Marla Sanderson has been a student of spiritual practice for over 35 years. Beginning as Assistant Director of The Next Step, a psychic and spiritual community in a New Mexico ghost town, she has walked many paths. As teacher, practitioner, and minister, she has led relationship and personal growth workshops, taught psychic development and meditation, Living Love, and the Science of Mind. She has recently founded the New Thought Center for Creative Living, which holds its service in Clearwater on Sunday mornings at 10am at Unity’s Peace Cottage, 2465 Nursery Road.
More recently, she has just formed of the New Thought Social Club, a meetup group for bringing New Thought Thinkers, Spiritual Adventurers, and Metaphysicians together for friendship, fun and networking with people of similar ideals. http://www.meetup.com/New-Thought-Social-Club
As a student and teacher of Living Love, Marla believes that Love will heal every relationship and every situation - as a minister of the Science of Mind, that we create our own reality with our thoughts and beliefs. Marla’s goal is to bring these teachings from concept to experience – from the head to the heart. She is available for workshops and speaking engagements. Contact [masked].
7:30 - 9PM - GROUP PSYCHIC READINGS
We will begin with an introductory explanation of the exercise.
No previous experience or training is required - we will be exercising our innate psychic ability.
Followed by a Centering Guided Meditation
* Chakra balancing
* "Prime the pump" exercise - Using your imagination as a means of perception
Group Reading Procedure
One attendee, chosen by a drawing, will come to the front of the room, state his or her name and ask, as briefly as possible and GIVING NO DETAILS, a question about an issue of concern in his/her life RIGHT NOW -- "I request insight into my ___________ (finances, health, career, marriage, love life, soul mate, grandchild etc.)".
Then, as the subject continues to focus silently on the stated issue -- putting into it as much emotion as (s)he can -- the rest of us will, for a period of four minutes, focus our inner attention on it as well, with the goal of retrieving helpful information. We will, without judgment, jot down our "non-physical perceptions" -- thoughts, words, feelings, sights, sounds, colors, any impressions at all -- and use those notes during the "debriefing" part of the exercise. (note paper provided - bring a writing instrument)
Those who so desire will have the opportunity to share their insights with the rest of us, as the subject confirms and/or clarifies. As they do so, we can take note of correspondences to and confirmations of what WE got. And of course you may share your input with the subject afterward.
We will do as many Group Readings as time allows, so we ask everyone who wishes to have a question prepared, just in case YOU are chosen!
Psychic development exercises you can utilize during the month are available on our website HERE
