play touch football!

Are you ready for some football!??

A friendly, coed game of touch football.  Great at football... perfect. New... that's fine too. We will get everyone involved. The only real skill you need is to count apples. :)


We will pick captains and organize teams once people show up, please try to bring something light colored (or white or yellow) and something dark.

Please try to be on time, we will meet from 10AM to warm up, and will try to pick teams to start playing by ~10:30AM. [if you are new and show up early and nobody is around, please don't worry... we'll be there!]

We will plan to finish by ~12:30PM so that people can still watch the Lions game.  (***This weekly game now extended beyond the football season, but we will keep playing at the same time***)

We need a minimum of ~8 players to play. Please only RSVP YES if you are going to actually show up, everyone else is relying on your attendance so that we can actually have a game.  If >20 players join, we may split into two games.


If anyone has an extra ball, please bring it.

P.S. It is best to park in back of Webb Elementary, the football field is behind the school.

    It's not looking too promising for me being able to play. My left calf that gave out on me last week went out on me today as well, trying to play softball. I can walk fine, and even jog lightly, but right now if I try to really push off on it and accelerate I can't. So my plan is to come in the morning, warm up, maybe play the first possession or two, and if it won't let me run I'll have to take this week off and see how it feels next week.

    It may be that these old legs just aren't going to hold up to playing sports regularly. Which really sucks, because I'm enjoying this even more than I anticipated. But we'll see.
