Hey All,
I just had to share the title of a book I just finished (listening to on CD) that I think all us crafty people would enjoy. It's called The Blood of Flowers and the author is Anita Amirrezvani. It's about a young girl coming of age in 17th century Persia. She falls on bad luck which gets worse and worse (and if possible, even worse), and through it all she tries to regain lost ground by learning to make and sell beautiful rugs. There's plenty of talk of designing the rugs, choosing/dyeing the wool & silk, etc. to keep us fiber-holics hooked, but the story itself is absolutely phenomenal, I think. Check it out.
