All about Data Persistence in Windows 8

Data story is changed again in Windows 8 and you want to know about the new ways of saving, accessing and sharing user’s data. Come to this session and you will learn how to access and manipulate files on local and removable drives, how to roam settings between devices and how to store data in the cloud. Also you will find out which databases are available to Windows 8 apps and will leave the presentation with understanding of the common Windows 8 data access strategies.

Andrei Marukovich has been developing software professionally for over 15 years and during this time he has designed and developed applications in such diverse areas as semiconductor device manufacturing, robotics, game development, Web and hosting solutions.


In his current position, Andrei is mainly focused on the Windows platform as a software team leader, but also coordinates company knowledge sharing processes and facilitates new software technologies research and adoption.
