Globe at Night

  • May 19, 2014 · 8:00 PM

Participate in a world-wide event to measure light pollution. No equipment is necessary. If you can find the constellation Leo, you can participate. If you can't find it, the Globe at Night website will show you how. Go to http://www.globeatnight.org to get all the details and instructions on how you can participate in this effort. it would be particularly helpful to get lots of data points from all over the Hudson Valley, so your backyard or wherever you are at 8-10 PM (an hour after sunset, and before the moon comes up) will produce a useful reading.

We did this and it was so much fun. Especially to see on the map who had done it. it was cool to see some home that had done it multiple times from different spots of their house. It was family homes with backyard swing sets an stuff..Love to see families doing this..Thank you for getting us on this!

Great that your family can have fun, and contribute to a project that we all support.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
