MONTHLY MEETING: The Moon: What We Know

Our President, Dr. Willie Yee, will present an overview of what we know about the nearest celestial object, earth's moon. He will review the history and composition of the moon, and discuss the present best knowledge about how the features of the moon were formed. He will also present a review of several moon atlases and observing guides.

The meeting will start at 7:30 with a short business meeting. The presentation will begin at 8 PM . Following the presentation we will move to the College Diner for dessert and conversation.

Is there an admission fee for this meeting?

MHAA events never charge an admission fee. We do sometimes assist at events run by other organizations (such as the Walkway over the Hudson, or Olana) that charge fees, but our own events do not.

Ummmm, this should be the 15th, not the 22nd. Shouldn't it?

Thanks Paul. One more question, I thought we were going to be in Room 108 for the summer. Aren't 104 and Coykendall having work done to them?

I double checked with Records & Registration (the official scheduling people) and they had us down for LC 104. I know Coykendall is having work done in the auditorium, but not LC to my knowledge. I'll double check with some folks to be sure.
