Launch Site:
Dinner Key Marina
3400 Pan American Drive
Miami, FL 33133

Driving Directions

Parking:
If you get lucky you will find a spot at the marina. Mostl ikely, everyone will have to park at the old convention center parking lot next to the marina. It's about a block away. When you drive away from the marina, turn right onto PanAmerican Drive and follow the parking signs. If traffic is rerouted because of the holiday, just follow the signs.

The City of Miami runs the facility and you will need to pay to park. I will post the amount as soon as I get the information. Expect around $10 per car, maybe a little more.

Meetup Time:
We will meet between 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm, unload the boats and be in the water by 6:30 pm. Give yourselves plenty of time. It is a holiday and the grove will be busy. Don't leave your boat unattended. Wait for someone with the group to be there so that you can park your car. We will try to hold a spot but it all depends on availability.

Launch Time:
The Goal launch time is 6:30 pm but I'll be happy if we are all on the water by 7:00 pm.
Fireworks start at 9:00 pm in the grove.

Rentals:
Miles will be renting boats for the event. If you need one, please call him at [masked].

Trip Description:
A leisurely paddle towards Viscaya will give us at a fantastic vantage point to enjoy the fireworks.

Must Haves:
Brings lights, and your PFD (which you will wear). Brings snackand lots of beverages, it will be hot. We are all adults, if you drink, please drink responsibly. It is a holiday and the police will be out looking for anything out of the ordinary. Don't forget you camera, and bug spray, just in case, line to raft up together, more refreshments, more snacks, and if you have them, an anchor or stakes.

This is a very leisurely paddle, under five miles. Hopefully, the weather will hold and we'll have nothing to complain about other than too many boats being out.

As always, wear your PFD. Boat traffic will be heavier than usual so use extreme caution.

After Paddle:
The options are endless. I live nearby so we can plan on the fly (on the water).

Hope you can make it to the paddle/party.

The meetup time was moved up to remind everyone to allow enough time for parking. It is the 4th of July and it should be busy in the grove. Especially if we have gorgeous weather. Launch time is 6:30 pm. We will be on the water since some of us are paddling earlier. Don't forget your lights, whistle and PFD. A boat and paddles will help too ;) See you there!
