Leaving the Keys....

The northbound lane of the stretch is closed and the traffic is being directed up Card Sound instead. This is supposed to be this way til the end of July. Last weekend the traffic was backed up for miles through Key Largo, with Sunday being the worst. With that, I dont think I will try to make it to Gustos for the event. Keep this in mind if you plan on riding to the Keys.

Hey Bill about 8 of us got caught last weekend in that mess heading back from Islamorada with the temperature at over 90 degrees. It was a killer. Ended up at Alabama Jacks downing a whole pitcher of lemonade.

We got caught in it to, took 2 1/2 hours from Key Largo to Homestead!

I seen something in the paper today that they plan on opening the northbound lane on Sundays now. I'll see what happens tomorrow and keep everyone posted.

Used to work in Coral Gables & live in Hollywood - take your bike for a nice walk down I95 - great exercise
I normally only go up & down CardSound anyway, don't want to get stuck there with TRAFFIC tho !!
