Enjoyed seeing the work of other up and coming local filmmakers. Great to meet and connect with so many talented people!

Is paying cash an option for those who don't want to pay online? Any discounts for union members?

Jade, paying cash at the door is an option. However, you might want to arrive a bit early in that case, because tickets have sold out on a few occasions. I'm not certain about discounts for union members.

What are we raising money for? These conversations, if they are about how make South Florida into a cinematic area then there shouldn't be a charge.

Jonathan, I think the money probably goes to support the people at Indie Film Club Miami that help organize the event and perhaps the fine folks and employees that also manage the cinema venue. I think this is a more elaborate meetup event with a good bit of work involved in its organization. I do want to mention, however, and invite anyone in our group (miami movie makers) that has an interest, to post an event that offers an opportunity to meet and talk. You can do so by clicking the "schedule a new meetup" link on the group page.

Jonathan..its not easy for organizers to set up free events. Locations have be rented out and many of us are independent. Support is needed.
