What is your favorite book to moive adaptation?

A Room with a View, by E.M. Forester

What is your favorite book genre / type of book to read?

I don't know that I can really pick one type. I enjoy finding out other peoples' favorite books and reading them; it gives me some insight into them. I tend to find an author I like and then read everything I can find by them.

Why did you decide to join a bookclub?

I've always wanted to join a bookclub. Happily, I am finally making the time to do so!

Are you a Miami/Florida native or new to town? If you are new, what made you move here?

I'm a St. Louis native (go Cards!). I moved to Miami via Chicago and Nashville for a job.

What's the last book you read cover to cover?

Well, I just finished The Mockingbirds which is up for discussion at the North Meetup tomorrow! Before that, Give Me the World, by Leila Hadley.

Howdy! Sounds like a fun group. Can't wait to meet you all!

What Barbara is saying about this Meetup Group

n prep for the Oct selection (The Art of Fielding) I uploaded an interesting article from Vanity Fair titled "The Book on Publishing" written by the author's friend. It discusses how the book got published in today's e-reader world and made me want to read the book. Click on the "More" column above and look in "Files" for interesting background on the book.
