Soap4R and Untrusted SSL Certs

I needed to test against an SSL SOAP site without a trusted SSL cert and was hoping for a simple way to disable the exception. I ended up monkey patching to achieve this but was wondering if there was a more conventional API solution?

Ruby 1.8.7

factory ="#{@url}?WSDL")

# Monkey Patch HTTP Client
# Sets SSL verify mode to NONE so that we can connect to an SSL server
# that does not have a trusted certificate.
class HTTPAccess2::Client
def initialize(*args)
super(args[0], args[1])
@session_manager.ssl_config.verify_mode = OpenSSL::SSL::VERIFY_NONE

There are some magic property settings somewhere. You should only disable SSL verification for testing purposes though.
