Service Outing - Caesar Creek State Park - Pioneer Village - Habitat for History

Not a hike, not a backpacking trip, not even a trail maintenance event, but a way for us to support the efforts of Caesar Creek State Park and the group that takes care of the Pioneer Village.

Help preserve and restore the village buildings and grounds.  Work is available for all ages.  Breakfast, lunch, and dinner provided.  Camp for free at the village (there are restrooms and showers onsite).  Come for a few hours or come for all day!

The Pioneer Village is managed by volunteers, they receive no state or federal funding.  Come support this worthy cause!

For more information call Charlie at[masked]

Post work activities (meaning beer) will be found at Stone House Tavern in Waynesville.

I personally had a nice time, but the lack of organization was a bit disappointing. At least I got some exercise in, and the rail fence looks a lot better. Thanks for coming out and supporting the efforts!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
