Looking to complete a few miles on the Buckeye Trail? Want a nice walk on a Sunday? How about a way to burn some calories before having a few St. Patrick's Day beers? This event takes care of all these needs!
We will meet at the Caesar Creek State Park Corps of Engineers Visitor's Information Center (4020 North Clarksville Road) between 10:15 and 10:30 a.m. Cramming into as few cars as we can manage, we will drive to the Mather's Mill ODNR parking lot and hike about nine miles along bike trails, back roads, and wooded paths until our return to the Visitor's Center. We will then need a couple of gracious hikers to drive the shuttle drivers back to their cars at Mather's Mill, before we all gather again at Stone House Tavern in Waynesville for a nice post hike (and St. Patrick's Day) meal and libations. Moderate pace as most of this hike is flat. Remember, a successful hike for me means getting most of you back.
Most of this hike is on bike paths and back roads, so comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Cameras might also be a good idea as spring flowers should be starting to come alive! Also, bring water and snacks to carry you through.

Nice to hit the road with everyone this morning, making this a healthy uneventful St. Patrick's day with the best group of folks ever. Thank you for organizing Buckeye.
