Micro Venture Capital Club Monthly "Shark Tank" Meeting - April (Broward)

IMPORTANT UPDATE, PLEASE READ:

This is the last free club meeting in Broward. Moving forward you will need to purchase an annual membership or pay $10 per meeting to attend as a guest (NSU STUDENTS ARE FREE!).

We will be sending out an update with some benefits of joining as a member, including free entry into all meetings, some perks at local businesses, etc.

The first 100 people that sign up for a membership will only have to pay $80 instead of $100, please let us know at the meeting if you would like an annual membership. We will be collecting payments usnig SQUARE.

The goal of the Micro Venture Capital Club is to link entrepreneurs with great ideas with investors and other professionals. Every month we meet for a "Shark Tank" type meeting where entrepreneurs pitch their ideas to potential investors. The great thing about the Micro VC Club is that everyone is a potential investor. Unlike other clubs, we will not exclude anyone from attending. Our goal is to give everyone an opportunity to build wealth through ownership in great ideas!

Now we are hosting 2 meetings per month. We meet in Broward the 2nd Monday and in Miami Beach the 4th Monday of every month. Our meetings are great places to network as well. We usually have a great mix of entrepreneurs, investors, and technologists. The last meeting in Miami had over 70 people!

If you have any questions or would like to sponsor one of our events or offer a service or discount to our members contact Brandon Young - [masked].

If you are interested in presenting your company or startup, please send your one sheet, deck or executive summary.

Thank you for presenting. I know that a few people were interested in working with you to take the next steps. I hope it was helpful. :)

The event wasn't bad, but the presentations need to be better screened & timed. The guy who spoke about the films went for waaaay to long, the guy who presented the app for secret files is not ready to be funded and the last guy who presented the Positive app was alright, but not of interest to me, at least.

Really Leon? I didn't feel that way at all.

I make sure that no one goes over 30 minutes. I also like to mix it up and put earlier stage companies sometimes. This way they can get feedback and people in the room have an opportunity to get on board earlier for more equity (if they like the principal, the idea and it passes due diligence checks). Thank you for your feedback.

Hi Jennifer. You can attend as a guest and observe today but will not be able to present until we see a plan in writing that you have spent some time proving.

Great news! Nova Southeastern has sponsored parking for all members of the club. You must park on the 2nd floor of the garage and print out the following parking pass and put it on your dash.

This will be extended to all guests and members this month but will be a perk of members and students only as of next month.
