The goal of the Micro Venture Capital Club is to provide a forum where early stage entrepreneurs can pitch great ideas and receive feedback from other entrepreneurs, investors, and professionals.
Each month we meet for a "Shark Tank" type meeting where typically two entrepreneurs will pitch their ideas.
The entrepreneurs presenting will get valuable feedback, often from domain experts who attend, on ways to improve their ideas or presentation. Working professionals who attend, who have the 'itch', can see firsthand the challenges in starting a company. Investors have the opportunity to see some of the up and coming early stage startups in the area.
We host meetings on the last Saturday of the month at the UM Life Science & Technology Park. Our meetings are great places to network as well. We usually have a great mix of entrepreneurs, investors, and technologists.
If you are interested in presenting your company or startup, please send your one sheet, deck or executive summary.
The cost to attend is $10. Free for coworkers in the Miami Innovation Center based in the Life Science Technology Park. You can pay by cash, credit or debit (using square) at the event.
