Special Workshop - Business Model Canvas Session

Not one of our normal shark tank meetings - this is geared to be an interactive workshop towards the working professionals in our audience who regularly attend events. This is for people who have the 'itch', but don't know where to start or who have perhaps started but don't know how to move forward. We're a big fan of the business model canvas at the MVC club and believe that it is a great tool to sketch out a concept and brainstorm with others:

At this workshop we'll be presenting a few case studies of how this was used effectively by real businesses to plan out business strategy, and then open it up to the audience to have an interactive brainstorm session over ideas that audience members are working on. If there is an idea that you are very strongly considering or actively working on and you'd like to be a guinea pig for this workshop, please email [masked]. We're also pleased to be teaming up with the Trim Agency at the General Provision co-working space in Fort Lauderdale so that we continue to have events cross-county here in South Florida.

The cost is $10 to attend, free for co-workers and tenants at General Provision. We'll also open it up to networking at the end, and the meeting should be a great place to meet other entrepreneurs.

It was a fun and productive way to bring the BMC theory to practice. It was great to meet new and interesting people. Thanks!

Liked the workshop, especially the exercise, but perhaps a little more time, more focus on specific aspects, or smaller groups would have been better for the exercise in case we do it again in the future. IMHO

Hi Sachin, I'm planning to attend the Shark Tank event on the 16th also. I already sent you my business model summary. Should I complete the canvas form for this event on the 9th? thanks.

    • Sachin

Hi George, happy to discuss your business concept in more detail in person. No need to complete a canvas prior to the event, just show up with an entrepreneurial spirit.

We're excited to be partnering with Lean Startup Machine (LSM), a three-day workshop on starting a successful new business. Most new startups fail because they build something no one wants. LSM teaches you a systematic process for learning which products or services will succeed and which ones will not.
Over 25,000 entrepreneurs have had their lives changed by the LSM experience. The dates for LSM Miami will be Oct 3-5. Sign-up today to be notified and get a chance to win a free ticket to the event: http://l3an.com/Jxa1kc

While we think the Lean Startup Miami is a great event, the MVC Club has no affiliation with the October event. Thank you Leon for making us aware of the event.
