GO: Kingsbury Water Park Evening Hike

Kingsbury Water Park Evening Walk

We will meet at the Royal Oak Pub in the Village (post code B78 2LP). This is within a short easy drive of M42 J9 and has a large free car park. There is also a free public car park in the village along the road directly opposite, and 1 minute walk away

We will walk for 2 hours (around 5 to 6 miles) around the Water Park and beyond with some great views of the area, finishing off with a social drink at the pub.

As always withy evening walks we must set off on time so that we get back before dark. Bring walking boots or sturdy footwear and outdoor clothing matching whatever the weather is doing. Having said that the paths should not be of the type that get really muddy.

The pub does food, though you would probably need to allow 45 minutes for ordering and eating.

Public transport to the venue is available from Tamworth (115 bus) and  Birmingham (116 bus). Personally I will leave Streetly by car at around 6pm if anyone near me wants to travel together.

There is rain today and tomorrow, which will hopefully have stopped when we walk. We have adapted the route to avoid muddy paths, though there may be a few puddles. So dress sensibly maybe bringing spare socks and there is no reason not to take part.

The weather looks fine at the moment!!

There are several unanswered lift requests, possibly because the locations don't suit the drivers, especially where city centre traffic. I still have space from Streetly/Sutton area. The 116 bus leaves Birmingham outside the Square Peg at 17:24

That's handy Joy. There are a few GO members around that area. I myself are the other end of Broad lane just past the One Stop. I'm unsure though if I can make this walk so won't commit myself to lift sharing.

I've put myself down for this, but may have to re-access nearer the time as it will be dependent on how the hayfever is doing. :)
