The Regular Tuesday Night

~~NOTE~~ We'll be in the basement. ~~

Writing need not be a solitary activity nor devoid of social enjoyment. This is a recurring series of mini-get-togethers where people can drop by when they are able to, to socialize, chat, write and generally have a good time.

We do a bit of reading of people's work to give a bit of friendly feedback, do writing exercises, combat writer's block, encourage work on our own stories, chat about life, the universe and everything, etc.

Hope you will come join us. :)

PS.  Please bring something to write with, A.K.A a pencil and paper or a laptop, cause we will be writing a fair bit.

Hi! I'm a middle school English teacher, and I'm really interested in bringing a writer's group approach to my classroom (or writing elective). To begin, I'm going to simply meet with some students during lunch as a focus group. Here's my question:

Does anyone know of any meetings / groups that would be middle school friendly? I want to bring some students to see adult writers in action, and talk about how it might look for middle school. Thoughts?

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
