Hi, I'm Marybeth. I am a pastry chef by profession and a writer by passion.
Mainstream fiction I have written a love story and a mother/daughter novel. The next one is much darker, having erotic and horror elements in with the narrative.
Novels and short stories so far......and an essay.
Welcome to the group. I haven't yet figured out when and where we'll have our first meet-up. I'm open to suggestions. I'm also open to suggestions on how often and for how long we should meet.
Let me know.
I will look forward to meeting another person who works thier will in dough. A fe-e-e-w years ago I ran a donut (or doughnut) bakery that produced 1.8 million donaughts (thrtr it goes---I was around the "nut shop" so much that it afected my speech and to a lesser degree, my writing. I was one of those poor fools that developed a yeast inflection) Greeetings from Don Slessman of the Sylvania, OH Tues writer's group.
Hi, Marybeth. A voice from the past. My NaNoWriMo count was 50017. What fun it was. I will show up sometime, but I'm directing TWELFTH NIGHT just now, and with 9th graders, the best humblifiers in the world.
Welcome to the group - so glad you joned us! We hope to meet you soon, Andra
There is a book titled, "The Happiness Project" by Gretchen Rubin. Each month she sets goals for herself to make her life happier. You don't have to have the book read by the meeting. However, if you get it and skim through you will get the idea. It is a great book . The meeting place will probably change to Ann Arbor . I will let you know. So glad you are here. I hope that the group will come up with ideas.
Happy New Year!
