Announcing a new Meetup for Mid-Michigan Prose and Writing Group!

What: A planned convergence of enthusiastic would-be writers

When: Saturday, May 22,[masked]:00 AM

43435 Ford Rd
Canton, MI 48187

Hi all. In an effort to bring the group together, Victor has graciously bestowed me with co-organizership. I know this event is happening on short notice, but I'm just dying to get together with my fellow writers.

I have scheduled our get together for one of my two favorite places to write, the Borders cafe. I normally wake up early on Saturday to get some high energy writing in anyway. I've scheduled this event in Canton, since that is where I live and I am uncertain of the kind of turnout we will get for our first event. If anyone prefers to meet in a different locale, let us know. Perhaps you could help keep our calendar full by scheduling a meetup too!

For this first get together, we'll begin casually. Be ready to introduce yourself to the group (which I know can be quite the challenge for us introverts) and to discuss what you write or what you would like to write. If you have it readily available, bring a sample of your work (up to 1,000 words of text) to share with the group. If you choose to bring a sample, print a few copies so that more than one person can have a look. You may also like to share a favorite writing resource you have, be it a book, an article or a technique.

When you RSVP for this meetup, please indicate the kind of writing you do and whether or not you will be bringing a sample of your work.

When the group is a bit more established, we can work on some fun and kooky writing exercises.
