What are a few of your favorite games; ones you almost never turn down a chance to play and you know so well you could explain it to others?

Reiner Knizia is my idol. Lost Cities (both), Ingenious, Kingdoms, Samurai: TCG, Euphrates and Tigres: TCG, mmm brains!, Ra, Razzia, LOTR and Medici vs Strozzi. I really enjoy Tahiti, Kingdom of Solomon, Lords of Waterdeep, 7 Wonders, TTR, Dominion, Small World, Family Business, Bang!, and Killer Bunnies. I like pirate theme games like Cartagena and Caribbean.

Where do you live?

Chicago, North Side, Albany Park

What description fits you most - casual player, novice gamer, intermediate gamer, advanced gamer?

Intermediate gamer with some game designs brewing in the basement.

What is your favorite type of game - Mass market, Euro, War game, Ameritrash?

Euro style and clever group games. The only party games I like are PervArtistry (Sexy Charades), Last Word and Word on the Street.

What do you hope to get out of joining a organized gaming group – private events, public events, introduction to the hobby, serious gaming opportunities, social networking, just someone to game with, etc?

Serious gaming opportunities like introductions to all the different gaming mechanics and genres. I meet potential play testers and other inventors. At the meet up, I see some of the most amazing game demonstrators. I aspire to that. But mostly it helps me to feel alive.

My family lives in Milwaukee and now that my niece is old enough to play games, I'm in Miltown lot. I'm grooming her for MilCog membership. She's only 4, I give her 2 years. lol

What Francois is saying about this Meetup Group

More games than you can imagine with the friendliest people. If you keep your eyes open, wait patiently, and introduce yourself around you will find the people who play the games you will absolutely love. Otherwise you might start a game you hate 10 min before the game you were waiting for makes it to the table. :-) But it's all good. Thanks to the organizers and leaders at Milcog who love and worship the games they graciously invite us to play.
