What are a few of your favorite games; ones you almost never turn down a chance to play and you know so well you could explain it to others?

Bohnanza, Carcassonne, and King of Tokyo fit this category for me. But I feel the same way about Advanced Civilization.

Where do you live?

Uptown Crossing (Milwaukee proper)

What description fits you most - casual player, novice gamer, intermediate gamer, advanced gamer?

I'm an intermediate gamer. I play advanced games at times, but I am usually just fodder for the other, smarter folks I am playing with.

What is your favorite type of game - Mass market, Euro, War game, Ameritrash?

I like euros and card games best. Uwe Rosenberg is my favorite designer, but I am learning to love the games of Martin Wallace.

What do you hope to get out of joining a organized gaming group – private events, public events, introduction to the hobby, serious gaming opportunities, social networking, just someone to game with, etc?

I like serious gaming opportunities, as well interacting with others passionate about the hobby of gaming.

Introduction

I'm of Norse & German descent, so I like games about Vikings an awful lot. I can trace my roots to Rogaland in the 13th century.
