Perspectives Photo Walk - Day 2

This is the second option for the Perspectives photo walk. If you can't make it to the first one, or prefer not to deal with the cold that day, then join us on what looks to be a little bit nicer day.

This photo-walk will have the theme of Perspectives. You can get some great shots by placing your camera on the ground, or on the park bench, and shooting straight out or up. What sort of shots can you get by shooting through the rails around a patio, or using a reflection in the window?

Perspectives is all about taking an image from someplace other than where our eyes are usually looking. Get down low, up high, inside or outside. Wherever you shoot from, just do it from someplace unusual.

Sunset is at 4:56 so we'll have some good light. I want to do it downtown again because this is convenient to places where we can step inside to warm up if needed. We'll start at the corner of Welton and the 16th Street Mall and work our way towards Market. I'll put out some additional information as we get closer, and feel free to add suggestions to improve this walk. If anyone wants to, we'll find a place for dinner or coffee afterwards.

Wow! What fantastic pictures you all took. Again, I'm late to the punch for commenting but, you all are wonderful photographers. I definitely still have a lot to learn. Thanks to all of you for joining in on the walk. It was great meeting each of you. I look forward to doing this again. I'm uploading some of my images today before I head off on a jet plane again. And I hope to see even more of everyone's work in the near future.

Thanks everyone for posting your photos. My first time with this Meetup group as well. Really enjoy meeting everyone and looking at the 16th Street Mall through others eyes. There's a lot I can see I missed. Guess I'll have to go again and really look around me next time!

Hello photographers! Tomorrow is the big day! We get to shoot in some nice and warm weather. It will be in the forties so, you still need to dress warmly and acclimate your camera and lenses before the walk. About four to six hours before the shoot, you should put your camera bag outside so it will gradually cool down and get to the same temperature as the outside temp. Otherwise you may have to deal with fog on your lenses.

Let me know if you have any questions. I will meet you in the middle of the 16th Street mall, between the bus lanes, in front of the Apaloosa Grill. That's on the corner of Welton and 16th. See you all tomorrow.

Hello Everyone! You definitely picked a warmer day to join me on this walk. It was freezing on Saturday. The weather, so far, looks much more cooperative on Sunday. However, you should still dress warmly and in layers. I'll send out some additional tips and updates as we get closer to the end of the week. I'm looking forward to meeting you all.

I'll be there...I enjoy taking the same photo in different seasons so these two events should be interesting effects with snow and without snow.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
